Sea World San Antonio

We went to Sea World San Antonio yesterday with our neighbors. We had a great time. We will definitely have to buy the season pass so we can go back anytime. We got to feed the dolphins and the sea lions. These are some pics from the day.

Lauryn's 3rd B-day

My parents came into town last Thursday. We took them to dinner at Sea Island Shrimp House. Friday it rained all day so we didn't really do anything. On Sat. we had Lauryn's party. She had a blast. A lot of the parents from Ken's company brought their kids. I think there was a total of 9 kids. Lauryn also had her new best friend, our neighbor, Noah, here. I rented a moon bounce for the afternoon and the kids went swimming. Lauryn got lots of great presents. I was glad my parents were here to enjoy this day with us. Sunday we went to church, came home and rested, then went on post to Ft. Sam's Fiesta. Lauryn had a blast there also. She rode a mini ferris wheel, jumped on the moon bounce, and rode another little ride. Monday, I took my parents downtown to the Riverwalk. We ate lunch and took a boat tour down the riverwalk. We also went to the Alamo. Here are a few pics of our time with my parents.

HAPPY B-DAY LAURYN!

OK. So my baby turned 3 today. I can't believe it. Where does the time go? She also used the potty the first time yesterday. She pooped in the potty a week or so ago. But not tee-tee or anything else since then. Yesterday, she just decided that she would use the potty I guess. We went out for a while and she had a diaper on then and wouldn't go potty in the store, but she used the potty at the house all day. Today she has had one diaper on. YAY. I am so excited. I am so tired of buying diapers. Other than that, there is not much new. We did finish getting our furniture for the house. The last recliner and rocker chair will be delivered Mon. Once we get everything put together, I will take new pics. My parents are driving out sometime this week. They can't decide what day they want to leave, but they should be here Thurs. or Fri. We are really excited. Lauryn's b-day party is planned for next Sat. I have rented a moon bounce to put out in the back yard. She is getting a swingset for her b-day. Family members have all contributed with Wal-Mart gift cards. So now Ken and I have to go pick one out. Not looking forward to putting it all together though. I will post pics of the house and of Lauryn's 3rd b-day party after my parents leave on the 21st or 22nd. Take care.

Lauryn had her first playdate yesterday. Ken was outside doing some yard work on Saturday and noticed that a neighbor a few houses down had a little boy about Lauryn's age running around. Ken went over to say HI. The couple is military and their little boy turned 3 last Nov. We invited them over to eat dinner last night. The kids played together really well. Lauryn really enjoyed it. I have not met the mother yet. She did not come b/c of some homework. I'm looking forward to meeting her and having someone to hang out with. We got Lauryn's new little pool filled up and she had a great time in it yesterday, too. We wanted a bigger above ground, but our landlord told us NO. We may look into buying the house later, and if so, we WILL be getting a bigger pool. Here are some pics of Lauryn in her pool. She ha such a blast playing in the water.

Nothing New!

There has not been much going on this past week. Lauryn and I have just been hanging out. The weather has been really nice so we have played outside. I have finally sorted through all of our boxes and have separated what I am keeping and what I am putting in my yard sale. I am waiting on a call back from the Homeowner's Assoc. to get the permit for my sale. I am planning on having it next Sat. if possible. I need to get everything out of that bedroom. We are planning on buying a new mattress for our bed and putting our current mattress in the extra bedroom. Hopefully my parents will be coming to stay in a few weeks. Lauryn is looking forward to seeing them. Other than that, nothing going on. Gonna try to talk Ken into taking me and Lauryn to a Japanese restaurant tonight. I have not had it in a long while.

I have finally started to make this house feel like a home. I have hung pictures and curtains. Put candles every where. I love candles. Next, I have to tackle the extra bedroom that is filled with nothing but boxes of junk. I have to go through all of that stuff and make three piles- 1 for trash, 1 for garage sale, and 1 for goodwill. I plan on having a garage sale sometime before the end of the month and whatever I do not sell will go to goodwill. I need to start getting this room ready for guests. We are planning on buying a new mattress set, so the set that is on our bed will then be our guest bed. We also have a futon. So whenever anyone wants to come stay we should have enough room.

New Day

Ok. So I ended up cooking some chicken and cheese quesadillas the other night. Nothing spectacular, but they were very good. Yesteray, Lauryn and I went to T. J. Maxx and I bought some throw pillows and went to Old Navy. Can't make a shopping trip without going into Old Navy. I got 3 shirts and Lauryn got a pair of flip flops. Today, we are waiting on Ken to get home from work and we are going out to do some more home decor shopping. Nothing much that is new. It was 85 and sunny here yesterday and is suppose to be the same today. I'm really enjoying this weather here.
